Jobloom helps students turn job and internship postings into tailored demo projects and application materials. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Jobloom website, product, and related communications.

Scope

This policy applies to information collected through the Jobloom marketing site, the Jobloom application, waitlists, product forms, support conversations, and other interactions tied to Jobloom. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or tools that are linked from or integrated with Jobloom but operated by others.

Jobloom operates from Canada and may provide services to users in more than one country.

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account and profile details, such as your name, email address, school, or other information you choose to provide.
Content you submit, including job postings, prompts, uploaded materials, demos, notes, links, resumes, portfolio materials, and other information you ask Jobloom to process.
Usage and device information, such as pages viewed, actions taken in the product, browser type, approximate location, IP address, and diagnostic data.
Payment and transaction details if paid plans are introduced, such as credit purchases, subscription status, usage records, and billing records. We may use third-party payment processors and do not necessarily store full payment card details ourselves.
Communications with us, including support requests, feedback, or survey responses.

How information is collected

We collect information in a few different ways:

Directly from you when you submit forms, create an account, or contact us.
Automatically through cookies, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies when you browse the website or use the product.
From third-party services you choose to connect or use with Jobloom.

Generate tailored outputs based on the materials and instructions you provide.
Understand product usage and improve reliability, safety, and performance.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

With vendors and service providers who help us run the website, host the product, process analytics, or support core functionality.
With infrastructure, AI, storage, authentication, analytics, and support partners to the extent needed to provide the service.

To protect the rights, safety, and security of Jobloom, our users, or the public.
As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of some or all of our business or assets.

Service providers and processors we may use include Supabase for application infrastructure and data storage, Stripe for payments, PostHog for analytics, OpenAI for AI processing, and OpenRouter to access supported AI models such as Gemini.

Cookies and analytics

Jobloom may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, understand traffic and engagement, remember preferences, and improve performance. If your browser allows it, you can usually manage or disable cookies through browser settings, though parts of the service may not function properly as a result.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of data and how it is used.

This may include retaining submitted job postings, uploaded materials, generated outputs, account records, usage logs, and payment records for operational, security, and legal purposes.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit certain information, but some features may not work without it. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your information where applicable under law. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own, including countries where privacy laws may differ. By using Jobloom, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations, subject to applicable law.

Third-party services

Jobloom may link to or rely on third-party tools, sites, and infrastructure. Those third parties have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their policies.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. Because there is not a single universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, Jobloom may not respond to them in all cases.

Children's privacy

Jobloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Jobloom, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
